Our Veterinarians

Dr. Stanley Sohn, DVM

Stanley Sohn, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Stanley Sohn is a 1973 graduate of Purdue University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. In 1975 Dr. Sohn opened the Mansfield Animal Hospital.

Dr. Sohn is a native of Milton, Massachusetts. He always had an interest in caring for animals. As a young child, he would take in injured animals and help them before releasing them back into their natural environment. During his school years he volunteered at the Blue Hill’s Trailside Museum.

Dr. Sohn, along with his wife Linda, bred, raised, and showed champion Papillon dogs. His dogs won many top awards in the United States, Mexico and Europe, including winning Best of Breed at the Westminster Kennel Club on five different occasions.

Sophia
SophiaManagerBorn in 2010 and working since she was 2. Constantly checking on customers to make sure their needs are met. Loves babies — kittens are her absolute favorite. In her spare time: sitting on laps, sunbathing and giving lots of kisses.
London
LondonSecurity GuardBorn in 2014 and working her whole life. Goliath is her best friend. In her spare time: belly rubs, being brushed, putting her hair in a pony tail and chasing Martin in the back yard.
Bleu
BleuHula GirlBorn in 2016 and working her whole life. Loves all her friends at the hospital, but her mom, London, is her best friend.
Louie
LouieRookieBorn in August of 2017 and working since about 3 months old. Always busy, running around all day playing with his best friend Priscilla — they play, snuggle and nap together.
Martin
MartinToy ChaserBorn in 2012 and working since he was 6 months old. Has the best job in the world — seeing all his friends and having lunch with them. Enjoys fetch, chasing Kitty and hide and seek with Meagan.
Beamer
BeamerSlacker 1In the animal industry since he was a kitten. Originally lived at Kozy Kennels but moved up to the hospital because his friend Goliath was lonely. Enjoys lounging, sleeping and eating — and the occasional chase with Benz.
Benz
BenzSlacker 2Working in animal care since he was a kitten. Moved in from Kozy Kennels to keep his brother Beamer company. Walks around and says hello, but mostly sleeps, eats and sleeps some more. Wrestles with Beamer and meows at the techs.
Felix
FelixIn Memory of the Noise MakerBorn in 1980 and working for a long time. Loved learning new things to say and whistle, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, flapping his wings and ringing the bells in his cage.
Goliath
GoliathIn Memoriam of our Resident SlackerGoliath was just as beautiful inside as he was outside. He worked his entire life and loved every minute of it, lounging around the hospital, socializing and begging for “nums.” He left paw prints on our hearts forever. RIP Boo Bear.
